Aquarium plant grown in 5 cms pot. The pink leaf undersides of the South American stem plant Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' provides a powerful contrast to the many green plants in the aquarium - especially if planted in groups.

The stem becomes 25-50 cm tall. High brightness promotes reddening of the leaves. The plant is easily propagated by pinching the top shot and planting it in the bottom layer. It also gives the mother shot a more shrugged look, as several new side shoots are subsequently formed.
