Did you know it's mandatory for your dog to be ID-marked at the latest when it's 4 months old?

According to the legislation in Denmark, all dogs over 4 months of age must be ID marked. The dog law says: "º1 The holder of a dog must ensure that the dog is marked and registered before 8 weeks of age. The holder of a dog must also ensure that from the age of 4 months the dog carries a collar bearing a sign indicating the name and address of the owner 'and" º12 A fine shall be imposed on the offender.'

You as owner can therefore face a very unfortunate situation and risk getting a fine if your dog is not marked correctly.
According to the above provisions, a weather-resistant dog sign must be attached to a collar and be engrained or embossed with:

- Name of owner
- Full address

We can also recommend that you also have your phone number engraved on the dog sign.
If you were to be so unlucky that the dog ran away, it would make it easier for the finder to contact you.

Whether to engrave the dog's name and possibly. chip number, there are differences of opinion about, as unfortunately it can be abused.

Note: The more information you provide, the less the letters on the dog sign will be.
