By placing the swamp in the furniture under the aquarium, you get both optimal filtration and a practical solution where the technique is hidden and the aquarium remains a clean and elegant eye catcher in the room.
In the swamp you can combine various filter media that together ensure a very thorough cleaning of the water - both mechanical, biological and chemical. It provides a healthier and more stable environment for fish and plants. At the same time, the water volume of the swamp increases the total volume of water in the system, giving more stable water values and making the aquarium less sensitive to fluctuations.
A swamp also makes it easier to maintain the aquarium. Equipment such as heating elements, pumps, skimmers and other accessories can be placed in the swamp instead of inside the aquarium, which both improves functionality and retains the aesthetic expression. At the same time, the swamp provides flexibility because you can easily replace or add filter media and equipment according to your needs. In short, a swamp filter under the aquarium gives you a combination of better water quality, higher stability and a nicer aquarium without visible equipment - a solution that is especially popular in larger freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
This filter swamp measures 70x33x40cm and fits perfectly into our 100 cm MOVE furniture. When mounting the swamp in the MOVE furniture, remove the plate and replace it with a support column (AT9013). This way you can use the furniture throughout its length while maintaining a support of the front of the aquarium. REMEMBER to moisturize your furniture if you put a swamp into it - either by establishing sufficient air circulation, or by putting a dense cover glass (not included) on the swamp.
