If you fight with cloudy water, algae or even disease, a UV filter can be your salvation. This specially developed UV filter insert is mounted discreetly inside the ELEMENT filter. So you don't have to have an extra agregate sitting inside your aquarium, which was the only solution so far. The UV bet is mounted simply and easily inside your filter and without the use of tools - you do not even need to unmount the filter to mount the bet. The UV insert consists of a housing box, a UVC tube with a molded cable and a power supply. The housing box serves partly as a fixture for the UVC tube but also protects the walls of your filter from the decomposing rays of the UVC tube. The UVC tube is a completely secure full-molded unit, which is easily exchanged after approximately 8000 hours of operation. When replacing the UV-C tube, you naturally reuse both the housing box and the power supply.
